The Ocean Decade Advisory Board and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO, in its role as coordinator of the Ocean Decade, have officially endorsed the International Platform for Ocean Sustainability (IPOS) as a Decade Contribution in recognition of our alignment with the vision and mission of the Decade.

Decade Contributions are important components to the success of the Ocean Decade, and IPOS’s activities and outputs represent in-kind resources that will contribute to its mission.

As a recognised Ocean Decade Contribution, we will prepare a short report each year detailing our Ocean Action that contributes to achieving our shared Ocean sustainability goals.

Everyone at IPOS is committed to working in alignment with the Decade ecosystem to deliver meaningful contributions to support the success of the Ocean Decade and its legacy.
